Pre-loading a queryview in a webapp outside the component it is needed without loading the data in a service

CONTEXT:
The queryview associated with one of my tabs/components takes a while to process, and I am hoping to expediate the loading of that tab by calling the queryview in another place before that tab is opened.

QUESTION:
Does anyone have suggestions on how I might go about pre-loading a queryview before the data is needed and before the component that qv is used on is opened?

One suggestion is to just call the queryview on a different tab than needed and call it again later, relying on the cached run to be faster. It would be nice if I could avoid calling the qv twice and throwing away data. I could also do a bigger refactor to load the data in a service, but I was wondering if there were any simpler alternatives.
