Now that DigiDollar is nearing mainnet (with testnet progress looking strong), what if you considered extending the same decentralized, overcollateralized model to other major currencies (like a DigiEuro pegged to EUR, DigiPound to GBP, or even DigiYen to JPY) right after launch? It could be a natural next step, in my opinion, using the existing Oracle framework, mint/redeem logic, and wallet integration, with just added price feeds and peg options. This might accelerate global adoption dramatically, especially in Europe, where fiat alternatives and regulatory clarity are gaining traction, drawing in users (like me) who would prefer the euro for payments, remittances, or DeFi without centralized issuers.
The upside could be huge: broader utility would drive much faster DGB demand as collateral, potentially leading to the quickest valuation surge we've seen and positioning DigiByte ahead of competitors stuck on single-currency or centralized models. It's just an idea to spark discussion... Could multi-currency support (starting with DigiEuro after DigiDollar) unlock/accelerate that breakout moment? Would that be realistic? Thoughts from the community/devs?
