Anope 2.1.18 keeps disconnecting and doesn’t back up the database

Hello Anope Team,

First of all, thank you so much for your amazing work on Anope. I’ve been trying out Anope 2.1.18 and really appreciate how useful it is. However, I’ve run into a couple of issues that I’d like to share:

1. Frequent Disconnects

• The services keep disconnecting on their own.

• In mIRC, it only shows “Connection Closed.”

• This happens randomly: sometimes every 2–3 hours, and sometimes after 6 hours.

2. No Error Logs

• I checked both Anope and UnrealIRCd 6, but there are no error logs when this happens.

• It looks like the connection just drops without any reason.

3. Database Backup Issue

• After restarting Anope with ./anope start, I noticed that the database wasn’t backed up.

• Because of this, some data is lost after each restart.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any logs to share since none were generated. Could you please let me know if this is a known issue with version 2.1.18, or if there are any recommended fixes or settings I should try?

Can you start with -support and then pastebin a full log from your terminal for when it disconnects?

Do you have any message from unrealircd telling anope is not responding ?
