Hello, Thank you for your message and for sharing your use case, which is both interesting and highly relevant for many educational institutions. The ability to integrate streaming videos from platforms like Peertube is indeed a feature that the ePoc development team has considered and will be available soon. However, it’s important to note that this approach will not be the recommended method for using ePoc. The core philosophy of ePoc is to provide a self-contained, all-in-one package designed to work offline and autonomously. By embedding video files (mp4, vtt, etc.) directly into an ePoc, we ensure that educational resources remain accessible at all times, even in environments with limited or unstable internet access. That said, we fully understand the benefits that integration with platforms like Peertube could bring, particularly in terms of centralized media management and transcoding. Your feedback is valuable and will be taken into account in our future discussions about ePoc’s evolution. Best regards, |

Hi,
At the time of writing, if I want video, I have to upload the source files (mp4/vtt/thumbnail) in ePoc.
This is not the best way to manage media files.
Could ePoc support some FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) streaming platform ?
For a use case example, in my public company in educationnal sector (and as a lot of other public company in France and in Europe), we use Peertube to host and stream our video. The plateform take care of multiple resolution transcoding, and adapt itself to the bandwith of the user with HLS stream.
Being able to embed the HLS stream inside ePoc would have a lot of pros :
Could the ePoc 's dev team think about it ?
Best regards (and I'm available for testing and providing url if needed).
