chrome 34 is is silent when applying the gainController

Ive been playing with simpleWebRTC and notice that if i turn on the autoAdjustMic:true option, which uses this gain controller, the audio drop out.

Ive also been trying tests myself. and it seems that the addTrack/removeTrack don't seems to affect the transferred stream. Does this seem correct? Its unfortunate, id love this feature to work - any ideas?

Out of interest, is the idea that the gainController will process the stream BEFORE it is transmitted to the peers? (as a modified track is attached to the stream?)
I guess, a different option could be transfer the original stream, then modify it on the receiver. You would ovbviously just signal a volume change to the peer- does this sound viable? or is my understanding of this library totally off?
