Description:
The Level 1 requirements for Defect Management / Defect Tracking implicitly suggest the implementation of a dedicated tracking system to manage defects across various sources and activities throughout the SAMM scope. However, this requirement appears disproportionately complex and resource-intensive for a Level 1 maturity stage. It would be more appropriate to relocate this requirement to Level 2 of this practice.

Centralized defect tracking should not necessarily occur on level 1. Verify the model to make sure that it is not a requirement.
