AS2 servlet - Upload file takes too much time in compare to working with as2 server

Hi Philip,
We are using AS2 servlet for uploading AS2 messages to our server.
The transfer takes too much time in comparison to transfer file via as2 server ( socket)
Please let me if there is any improvement regarding this.

Do you have exact numbers on this?
What application server are you using? Spring does a lot of magic in the background.
Do you eventually have a virus scanner that is active?
Did you run a profiler on the application?
