What is your feature request?

It would be cool to have passkey support for local xyOps account logins.

Yeah, this one is an "enterprise level" feature, so the best way to get this currently is to use SSO, and then your IdP handles the passkey management.

Most companies want to use SSO anyway, so even if I did implement WebAuthn as a "native" feature, I don't think many users would end up using it, because SSO "takes over" the entire login process.

I'm open to reconsidering this if people really want it, but it just seems like SSO handles the use case already.

That's fair and makes perfect sense. I keep going back and forth between what I want it to have/do for when we use it at work vs. what I want when I use it at home 😄.

Ah, I should mention, if you happen to use Tailscale in your home lab, xyOps integrates directly with that and can automatically authenticate and log you in. You don't need an OAuth Proxy or anything. Check it out if interested: https://docs.xyops.io/sso/tailscale

Hmm, I should write a dedicated Tailscale setup guide which goes into more detail 🤔

I don't use it currently but I've used it to connect to friends' networks before. I'll definitely have a look into it!
