To start: Meta+Alt+S starts Orca in a 100% working mode on the installer ISO desktop, so that's good. The installer can also be navigated by keyboard alone, using the Orca feedback. Good.
However, the screen reader only sporadically picks up updates while the installation progress bar is filling, and is often somewhat late. A preferable experience would be simply reading out steps as they start and finish.
Also, the "show console" button reports only as "toggle button {pressed, not pressed}" which is not very useful for figuring out what it does if you can't see.
