Unable to download to mergerfs mountpoint

When trying to use a save path that is a mergerfs mount point, files are not written; but when changing to 1 of the disks in the mergerfs mount writing works.

I don't know much about mergerfs - it's not a permission issue? If the mount point has different permissions than the disk mount

Permissions are the same for both folders, so it would have to be something else causing this unfortunately. Debug logs show the following line; which seems a bit odd (since it's the correct mount point)?
