     We're always going to be building from source, so we don't need any of this code. If we were to reintroduce binary caching, it would be implemented as a separate project.

Short term, overriding pour_bottle? to always be false should be enough IMO.

     I'm not familiar enough with brew's codebase to know where that would be done (if it's even in only one place) just off the top of my head; could you point it out or submit a PR, please? I'd still like to follow through on this issue, though, but I agree that the changes it covers could likely be large enough to warrant being pushed out beyond a release in the MVP; I can change how this issue is labeled accordingly.
