As reported here https://3.basecamp.com/3700981/buckets/3107037/uploads/5556012879#__recording_5560720266 the electric fields from the Lienard Wiechert solutions that are used for the free-space sims are incorrect when compared to theory (see https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevA.36.1498).
As indicated in this plot the angular distribution of the total field power in Locust (green) is different from the analytic expectation (blue) and also different from another numeric LW solver outside of Locust (orange).

The same is true for the power frequency spectrum (Locust blue, numeric alternative orange and analytic green).

The plot below shows how that higher power in Locust would influence predicted detection probabilities depending on true SNR for different accepted false alarm rates.
