remove hardcoded supervisor

there are a lot of references on `init.d` in the code - even part of the setup. Better if we could get rid of it as it is too opinionated and modern linux distributions rely on systemd anyways?

Make it flexible. Let users/admins decide which supervisor to use (be it monit, supervisord, systemd, or even legacy sysinitv)
