Quiet a nice start ! Thanks for promoting ReelVault on Reddit/Xfce.

• It would be nice to have some translations. And I don't think about the UI but about movies/series description. And thus, having a setting to fetch movie name, description and poster in a particular language (FR for me).
• UI translation would also be nice but definitively too early I think
• a reminder of what have been seen (check mark or emblem)
• I think your using the folder name to fetch some metadata. No sure is a good idea : sometime you add an extra file in a serie (oav, closure film) that will end wrongly detected or not detected at all.

Thank you for the feedback. I have added a box in the settings dialog where you can enter a different language code that will be used for the API calls to TMDB. I quickly tested a few films and tv series and it seems to work at least for the plot.

There is no foolproof way to match the titles of media to API queries automatically which is why there is an edit match button for you to manually search the database and pick the correct match yourself. For my personal collection it matched the majority of my film collection, but there was some manual work. I wanted it to be fairly conservative in matching so it tries to extract both title and date to match media. You can also use the Add File button to manually add files to an entry if a file is missed or in a sub folder. For auto matching titles your media does need to be well named and organised and there are lots of ambiguous cases: multiple films with the same name, different opinions on the actual release year.

The application is intended as an alternative to using your file manager to launch media. In the past when I tried other applications such as KODI to do this simple task I found them to be very slow and laggy. I am not intending to add many more features unless there is a real need. I want to keep the application as light, fast and uncluttered as possible. Unwatched media for me is anything new I have added to my collection recently so I can just sort by date added and quickly see new items that way.

I will consider and look into international translations of the app, but I am not sure if it is worth it as I don't think many people use it. But if there is demand it is definitely something I would add.
