In Tutorial 1, indexActions.increment takes an argument and includes that argument in the action object it returns, but the reducer ignores the payload field so it's never used. I think you may have meant to do this in the reducer:

    case 'incr':
      return { counter: state.counter + action.payload };

actually this thing is correct and it was meant to be this way. May be there is some other issue on your side.
