The current implementation of using selector: 'grid-stack-item' and 'grid-stack', makes it not possible for the gridstack framework to handle the single column view correctly.
Making the components directives by using selector: '[grid-stack-item]' and '[grid-stack]' fixed this.
I now use <div grid-stack-item> </div> to provide the same behavior. This results in the single column view (for small screens) to work correctly.
Maybe this is something you could implement in the package.
