Isn't this the purpose of the "severity" icons that are set for the SpellWarn diagnostic? Or you want to be able to identify it by the text as well, such as if you have no visible gutter?

1. I do have the "severity" icons enabled, but I’ve set all spell errors to the INFO level, so there’s no distinction. So yes, I do want to use text to differentiate them.

2. By suffix, I meant the part shown in the screenshot—not just plain text concatenation. There’s probably a standard way in the diagnostic API for this; I’m just not familiar with it yet.

That's harper_ls hinting at the rule that flagged the diagnostic. My understanding is that in the NeoVim spellchecker there are just the 4 different types, and I've added prefix/suffix options for them, where the prefix defaults to hinting at the specific issue as per the 4 different types of spelling issues. I think it covers what you are after... especially since you can change the prefixes to nothing, and put whatever you like in the suffixes.

Note: this is different to what the Author originally had which is just a single string for all SpellWarn diagnostics. It is, in fact, a breaking change from how the severity levels are now handled, and I've removed that simple default text as it doesn't apply anymore.

It sounds to me like the latest push I made covers what you are after, you just need to swap the prefix text into the suffix text if you want it at the end.
