This is very much a feature in progress. Height velocity requires 2 measurements, acceleration requires 3. This means the function must receive an array of measurements, not just one. This was a precursor to support height velocity charts, and also @statist7's thrive lines. In the development of these I was using plotly but this would not play well with the react component as it stands - we would need to think about how to implement those at that point.
Possibly this file needs to be in its own branch if you are wanting to tidy.
