Problem with provider value and snapshot creation

I think there is a problem with the value storing the selected ROR option (with the external id) and creating a project snapshot afterwards.

How to reproduce:

1. Define a partner in the project interview
2. Search the ROR database with the optionset autocomplete
3. Create a snapshot -> Internal server error

We first noticed this behavior after updating the last changes (the addition of the ROR logo to the autocomplete options). Initially, I thought it could be a problem with the static files in our test instance. However, the behavior persists after removing the option link.

Could it have something to do with the external id of the provider value? The error disappears if:

1. I delete only this value in the database, instead of erasing it in the project interview (with the "erase input" button with which it is set to an empty string)
2. I delete this value's external id
