Studies -> Projects: improved collaboration and research project management #261
Description
We will be renaming "Studies" to "Projects", alongside a significant overhaul that allows for researchers to better document their research project aims and various collaborator roles. Researchers will also be able to issue DOIs for their projects, and make them publicly discoverable when desired – allowing for robust linkage of persistent identifiers between the project DOI, registered data management plan, and various dataset and workflow DOIs associated with the project.
Organization administrators will also be given new tools to interface with these projects, enabling robust project-level reporting to understand how data are being used.
Projects will also offer opportunities for cost sharing; e.g., the ability to purchase or grant compute credits to be used by all project collaborators.
