CLion shows me the "Non-project files protection" dialog

CLion seems to "think" that the files don't belong to the current project.

1. I created a new project called "Motor Stepper"
2. I wanted to edit the file
3. ERROR: I get a warning that my two files MotorSteper.ino as well as CMakeLists.txt don't belong to the current project.

As a result of this I don't have any running configurations which, as far as I have heard, should be generated automatically:
