Einfachste Möglichkeit, GroBro (ausschließlich lokal) zu verwenden?

Hallo und Danke für die Software. Es gibt bestimmt einige Nutzer, die nicht in die China-Cloud wollen.

Remote-Zugrif und HomeAssistant Integration sind nett, für mich als VPN- und ioBroker-Nutzer aber unnötig.
Deshalb die Frage: Was wäre das einfachste Setup, um nur Daten von der Growatt-Hardware (Nexa in meinem Fall) in ein MQTT-System zu übertragen, alles lokal ohne Zugriffsnotwendigkeit aus dem Internet? Also einfach z.B. den Wert für "Solar Power" aus dem Nexa auslesen und nach MQTT schreiben.
Kann man dann auf Zertifikate und ein zweites MQTT-System verzichten? Am liebsten einfach nur die Adresse des bestehenden MQTT-Systems verwenden, in dem auch bisher schon alles (von Airbox über DTU und OpenBeken bis Optolink-Splitter) landet, was so an Daten gesammelt werden kann.
Geht das im Sinne von "keep things simple"?

vielleicht überseh ich ja etwas, aber wenn das growatt device mqtt nicht unverschlüsselt überträgt kommt man um das zertifikat nicht herum
wenn es eine möglichkeit gibt einen 2ten mqtt server (als zeil) einzurichten der die daten vom growatt device ohne verschlüsselung überträgt müsste dies ohne zertifikat möglich sein
bitte um kurze info ob das in die richtige richtung läuft

but without a cert it seems only possible when the growatt device is communicating with mqtt server without encryption
if there is a possibility to add another mqtt server as target for the growatt device that runs teh communication without encryption i dont see the need of the cert

Ich hab das so verstanden, dass ein Python-Script der GroBro-Software die Entschlüsselung der Daten vom Nexa übernimmt - und diese läuft ja ohnehin lokal in einem Container. (Ich würde dafür aber lieber LXC verwenden, dann brauch ich nicht noch extra Docker auf meinem Proxmox. Aber das ist ein anderes Thema)

Schauen wir mal, was die Entwickler dazu meinen

Yes, it’s totally possible to run GroBro, Mosquitto and your NEO/NOAH/NEXA on an air-gapped network. I block every connection made from my NEO to the internet and it’s running like this for months.

Home Assistant auto-discover is only the format on how the topics are setup and data is transmitted. In other words GroBro is not tied to HA, but was developed with it in mind and is therefore using its data format. If you want to receive data on another platform you can use its standard MQTT integration and subscribe to the relevant topic directly.

Some while ago I made this drawing:

Minimal setup would mean:

• Only one MQTT broker with valid certificate (needed by Growatt device)
• GroBro as decrypter and decoder for the Modbus messages
• Your Growatt devices connected to the broker

GroBro would subscribe and publish on the same broker - btw this is how I run it, too 😉

Danke für die Rückmeldung und Aufklärung. Ich schaue mich gerade um, wieviel ich ändern müsste. Der MQTT-Adapter vom ioBroker kann zwar SSL, allerdings hat er offenbar keinen eigenen Port für TLs Datenverkehr. Würde ich also SSL aktivieren, würde aller MQTT-Datenverkehr über SSL laufen. Wahrscheinlich können die meisten der eher primitiven IoT-Geräte das gar nicht. Somit wäre wohl ein Wechsel auf Mosqitto nötig. In dem Fall müsste ich "nur" auf allen anderen Geräten die neue IP des unverschlüsselten MQTT-Ports eintragen. Das wäre schon möglich, es sind etwa 20 Geräte.
Wegen des LetsEncrypt-Zertifikats: Das kann ein beliebiges sein, muss also keine Growatt-Signatur oder ähnliches beinhalten?
Und die Daten landen (falls man HomeAssistant nicht nutzt) einfach im MQTT und können dort ausgelesen werden, richtig?

Thanks for the feedback and clarification. I'm currently looking around to see how much I would need to change. The ioBroker MQTT adapter supports SSL, but it apparently doesn't have a dedicated port for TLS traffic. So, if I enabled SSL, all MQTT traffic would be routed over SSL. Most of the more primitive IoT devices probably can't do this at all. So, switching to Mosqitto would probably be necessary. In that case, I would "only" have to enter the new IP address of the unencrypted MQTT port on all other devices. That would be possible; there are about 20 devices.

Regarding the LetsEncrypt certificate: It can be any certificate, so it doesn't have to include a Growatt signature or something similar?

And the data (if you don't use HomeAssistant) simply ends up in MQTT and can be read from there, right?
