KinematicModel checkVelocity: velocity is unset #6

@joaobrittoneto, when using the motion model today as part of my model-based control, at some point it has thrown the below exception:
88.411 [ ERROR ][OrbRunner] in updateHook(): switching to exception state because of unhandled exception
