rocks set host bootflags is not saved in the restore roll

rocks dump does not backup the bootflags

Should we move this into an attribute so it can be applied also to node which do not exist yet?

Hey @ppapadopoulos,
I would like to use attributes to specify extra boot parameters for the nodes.
In this way we would also get grouping capabilities (e.g.: all compute nodes, all nodes) and they will be included in the restore roll.

I propose to use:

• boot_params: if this attribute is present its value will be appended to the boot parameters of both the OS and the installer
• boot_params_os: if this attribute is present its value will be appended only to the OS boot parameters
• boot_params_install: if this attribute is present its value will be appended only to the installer boot parameters

Any suggestion, issue or comments?

While this can be helpful there may be cases where this is not desirable for example cluster with mixed hardware (ie. Intel and AMD x86-64 compute nodes).

Perhaps more detail is needed to apply this intelligently to appropriate nodes?
