The pipette can be cleaned by immersing it in alconox then rincing in ACSF. This requires moving the pipette safely into two tanks and moving it back. The user must manually specify:
- the safe focal plane; alternatively, we simply fully withdraw the pipette until we exceed the XY position of the tanks.
