prsannots on mac os x (10.7.3)

After Installing fontype2 with

$ ./configure
$ make
$ sudo make install

and pypdf, reportlab with

$ sudo easy_install pip
$ sudo pip install pypdf
$ sudo pip install reportlab

I'll get an option to choose which book I want to use, but since there is no list I don't know which options I do have:

$ python prsannots.py /Volumes/READER/
Please select which book to get:

Could not understand your response. Aborting.

Any suggestions?

It looks to me that it isn't finding any suitable books on your reader. I have to ask the stupid question: Do you have PDF files with "Handwriting" annotations on it? Currently, prsannots doesn't work with other file types or any of the other highlighting-based annotations, so it only lists such files.

Assuming that this isn't the problem, we need to understand why prsannots didn't find any suitable files in the database on the reader. This should be located at <device>/Sony_Reader/database/books.db. If you are familiar with SQL, maybe you can figure out why nothing was returned by the SQL command:

select books._id, books.title, books.file_path, books.thumbnail
    from books inner join freehand
    on books._id = freehand.content_id
    where mime_type = "application/pdf"
    group by books._id

If not, if you can send me the books.db file, I'll take a look at it and see what I can figure out. Unfortunately, I don't think you can attach files to issues in github. You'll either have to find someplace else to post it, or you can email it to me directly (my github username at gmail.com).
