Description
I’ve ran into some difficulties. I’m trying to get data-mc agreement, but when I plot both of these I get the following kinds of graphs.
When I look at the outflow of the data vs and monte carlo, i see the amount of events in the data gets halved by the trigger , and reduced by 5-10% by the GRL
The monte carlo does something similar :

this looks like it reduces it, but the scale on the y axis is very constrained. in all 99.3% pass the trigger.
when I multiply the monte carlo in the initial plots by the ratio between “all” in the data and “trigger” in the data, (0.47) which i know is niave and not how a trigger actually fucntions. I get the following plot

It should be noted that normweight, mcEventWeight and Pileup are all being multiplied here, including a multiplication by the luminosity, which i take to be 3.2 fb^-1
Very similar behaviour is exhibited for all the other plots.
So it seems clear that the trigger being applied to the data and the mc is very different, does this stick out as being anything you know how to fix?
furthermore, do you know how to get the lumicalc files applying?
Sorry for the hassle, i’ve just literally ran out of ideas here.
Cheers,
