Could you put more instructions?
Does the chrome tab containing colab be on top or in focus? Can it be in the background or minimized?

I usually always get disconnected 😢 even when the extension is on. I know that Google keeps changing colab, and html/javascript code so that people will have trouble scripting the reconnect. Have you checked this recently? I'll look at your source code sometime soon to see if I can troubleshoot it!

It can be in the background; not sure about minimized.

I'm noticing that the JS code works fine for me — perhaps there's something more that Google is checking. Can you get me a screenshot of the console logs when you see the runtime disconnected message?

Hey, it doesnt seem to be working for me. I didnt minimize the tab. Also there was no error message. It was just disconnected. Also I have the pro version of colab. Please help.

@sidb236 Unfortunately, this is a game of cat and mouse. Google keeps changing the HTML layouts which breaks the extension. I may need to think of a better solution to this problem.
