Remove unused imports Ask for permissions to read/write contacts.

This is a WIP branch I made to get things working on Android Oreo.
It works enough to compile in the latest android sdk.
In the end I found out my phone already has merge contacts, so not sure I need this, pretty large chance I won't work on it further :(
