Is WASM support in Rust depreciated?

What needs to be fixed?

On the page https://rust-lang.org/what/wasm/ in "Get Started" the button "READ THE BOOK" points to a page
https://rustwasm.github.io/docs/book/ which immediately says that it is not maintained anymore. What does
this tell the reader? Is WASM support in Rust depreciated?

Wasm support is not deprecated. The rustwasm project, which incubated many of the tools used when doing Rust and WASM, no longer exists, but those tools still do.

We should update the website to potentially link directly to those tools.

I am not sure whether it is a good idea to just directly link to some tools. This book is actually quite good and serves as a central info point for everything releated to Rust on WASM. I'd appreciate it if instead this book would be kept up-to-date and maintained by rust-lang in the future.

It has been a very long time since the Rust project had team working on that stuff. If that book is useful then I would recommend trying to find people to help maintain it outside of the Rust project. It's not necessary for such a resource to be maintained by Rust itself.
