Hi. You can find my working systemd project/patches that stop birthdays from being stored here:

The goal was to write them in a way that they could be easily merged with upstream, even if I'm not able to keep our versions in sync. Also after looking more closely, I saw other data that I can't think of a good reason SystemD even stores and exposes (i.e. location). Those are going to require a deeper dive to safely see what breaks when we disable these. You can also find a link to a branch with just the birth_date patches.

Tangentially, if things get even dumber, I've also provided a "proof of concept/for educational purposes" patch/branc that makes all users return Y2K as their birthday.
