Is it possible to work with Jquery DataTables and Ajax ?

I am trying to implement the library in a multiselect of a filter that reloads a DataTable the data is an array that is obtained from the server with an ajax call, but I have not yet been able to succeed I convert the array of N positions in an array with a single position with all the data anything would be of great help I have several days stuck on this problem.
