we are trying to use sas-kernel juypter notebook. In our saspy_personal.cfg we have connections methods like
SAS_config_names=['ssh', 'iomlinux']

when using sas-kernel which one will be used and how can it be changed.

It would, as that's the file it's using. So you're saying in the same jupyter session, just opening a SAS notebook, it's somehow not using that same saspy configuration file? I don't see how that would be. SAS_kernel has no configuration or anything, It just calls saspy for everything. Can I see the output from the 2 notebooks? I don't have anything else to go on from this.

Its very strange to see that SAS_Kernel when using below command is giving something not in sascfg_personal.py. We have only ssh and iomlinux.

The SAS Config name specified (ssh) was not found. Please enter the SAS Config you wish to use. Available Configs are: ['iomlinuxssh'] 

is there some kind of caching that than be cleared for sas_kernel

Wait, you're using anaconda environments. That's bound to be the issue. You probably have more than one and you aren't using the one you think you are. And, you have different config files in each. People frequently have issue with that, not setting things up right and not using the env they think they are using. That's bound to be the problem.

If you make changes to the config file, you need to restart the kernels to pick those up. So yes, if you've been updating that config file and never restarting your kernel, it won't be picking up those changes. That's is the other possibility.
