Switch from yarn to npm

Working with NodeJS, I've been more familiarized with npm. Switching to npm will allow me to better understand the package dependencies. Had to continue using yarn due to the correct dependencies have already been pulled and are listed in the yarn.lock file. Building the project from scratch using npm causes tests to fail. So, working on this issue will allow me to better understand the package dependencies and to get back to more familiar grounds.
