I’m looking for advice on uploading large omics data files to FAIRDOM-SEEK when the SEEK virtual machine is linked to extended external storage. Specifically, I’d like to upload both raw and processed data files (e.g., FASTQ files from transcriptomics experiments) along with their metadata.
Has anyone worked with a similar setup? I noticed the ‘Hard maximum file size’ option under ‘Cache remote files’ in the server admin area—does this setting impact the size limit of files that can be uploaded/stored when using external storage? Or is there a better way to manage large data uploads efficiently without using remote links?
Any insights or experiences would be really helpful! Thanks in advance.
