I previously had on my RPi4B a HQ camera and I could take photos without a problem. Now I have a HQ global shutter camera on the same RPi4B with the same installation of raspi-cam-srv and I get the following error when trying to take an image:

Error in Camera.takeImage: Phototaking caused error: CameraController.requestCameraForConfig - Camera could not be started

Afterwards the live view refuses to start and I need to restart the raspi-cam-srv server to get a live image again.

Hi,
thanks for reporting this.
Because of travelling, I will not be able to resolve this within the next two weeks.

Hi,

sorry for the late reply.

I just tested this on my RP 4 with the same camera:

Here, photo taking does not cause an error:

There are slight differences in the camera model and kernel version. Also my Debian version is higher.

Don't know whether this makes the difference.

Does your problem still exist after you run a full-upgrade?

Thanks.
