Lakeshore 372 Agent needs all available PID settings

In an effort to improve our PIDing, we're looking at all the knobs we can turn.

I believe we need to add update time to the set_pid function or similar as I think that is a free parameter we can't currently modify.

Would also be good to know what the default value has been that is used with the current settings.

Sorry, could you be more specific about what parameters you need to be able to modify? set_pid currently implements all available parameters to the PID command in the 372 command set:

Section 1.8 in the 372 manual shows the specifications and lists a "Maximum update rate" of 10 rdg/s for a single range and input. Under Heater control I'm not really sure what to make of the "Update rate" of 0/s:

But I don't see in the command list, in a quick glance, what parameter you might be referring to.

Update rate is likely what I'm looking for but 0/s is confusing... could be it updates at the sample rate and there is no control over either, default at 10/s.

One knob that might be useful is the filter. First, do we know if the input -> filter is ON or OFF in default? That may be a related request to add the ability to turn that on/off with a settle time variable, see section 4.4.7 Filter

Then there is the control filter in Section 4.6.1.5.11 which I'd like to try out

Otherwise I agree there doesn't appear to be a way to change this. Specifically I was looking for a way to change the integral time period for the PID loop but that doesn't appear to be an option.
