I am having this same issue.

based on what I have been reading the plugin doesn't initialize in the plugin allowing it to use the JS.

// WordPress library
wp_enqueue_media();

[ttbakiatwoam]

Adding wp_enqueue_media();
to class-wpadverts-ci.php after line 120 wp_enqueue_style('wpadverts-ci');
worked for me.
