validation: consider warn vs. strict #2
Description
When validating pipelines, consider a 'soft'/warning mode, instead of strict requirement checking, for instance, when dealing with units:
- warn: data with no specification of unit could be used for input with specified unit
- raise: data with different unit spec used for input with specified unit
