[Feature Request]: Update map more smoothly

During the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix: Practice 1, I noticed that the track map (which is what I think is the best feature of f1-dash) updates slowly, around every second. Of course, I know this is a limitation on the F1 API. Video below shows.

Would it be possible to the updates be made smoother at least? Right now, they seem janky like they're stuttering. Could they be made more smoother or make the dot go on along the track instead of directly forward?

Again, I understand if this is not possible due to limitations, but it would make the experience for the end user way more enjoyable!

so the exact positional data is not available anymore without an f1 subscription. the current implementation is using mini sectors that's why its jumpy and bad. as of right now I am not planning to add a login so subscriptions can be used.
it could be made smoother with a lot of work, but I am not planning to do this anytime soon.

something that could be done is adding a way to set a token so self hosted instances could use their subscription.
