SMIP-0002: Remove vault vesting cliff

Hello,

I just published a new SMIP - our first! - to remove the vesting cliff from the genesis vault contracts. This thread serves as the official discussion/comments thread for the open review/RFC period. All community members and interested stakeholders are welcome to weigh in here with thoughts, comments, ideas, counterproposals, amendments, etc.

I agree that this is a possible alternative implementation that could avoid the possible future confusion I mentioned, but I'm inclined to stick with the simpler implementation proposal outlined in the SMIP as it doesn't require touching any existing state.

Lane, you said in video that wasn't opened for voting, meaning decision already been made to implement the changes. Something that ETH done several times and eventually killed ETH mining.

That said, this proposal is better for every party involved in the SM ecosystem.
Gradually releasing coins, will give time to everyone involved, to adjust to the new price coin, being up or down.

If anyone was to cry about it it would be the investors or the dev team.

It's good that the team is always open for suggestions to improve SM.
I've seen this many times.
