Application does not play on Android Automotive Polestar 2 10.0

This is a super unique usecase.

I have a Polestar 2 running Android 10. The car is the "speaker" in my garage haha.
I pushed the latest version to that and the app launches and connects to the server correctly. However when I press the Play button nothing happends.

I downloaded the lastest AVD for Polstar https://www.polestar.com/global/developer/ and installed the app there, and there everything is working fine.
So Im thinking it might have to do something with limitations on the car side.

Debugging is really hard since ADB is not enabled on the car.

Any ideas?
