Thousands of connections between Keter and my app

From time to time Keter crashes with "resource exhausted (Too many open files)". I noticed that in such situation there are thousands connections between Keter and my app.
How to deal with that issue? Is there any configurable setting which can help me drop connections older than X seconds? Other ideas?
