POV Hat Mapping

I managed to get the mod to work in newer versions, and plan to either pull request it here, or post it elsewhere, but I need one last thing before doing so:
<PovToTouchpad>
<InputPov>1</InputPov>
<OutputDevice>Stick</OutputDevice>
<OutputSet>Touchpad</OutputSet>
</PovToTouchpad>
I need to figure out how to get the button to use with InputPov, I can't get the button number for my HOTAS for some reason.
