Support for latex notation

Would it be possible to integrate Latex notation in the Plus Editor as done in the Fancy Markdown Editor ?

The problem I'm facing is that I like to use the Plus Editor to copy some portions of documents from a webpage and at the same time quickly format copied images. However, many times I need to write equations and thus if I'm changing between the two editors (Plus Editor to Fancy Mardown Editor and vice versa) the html imported to Plus Editor will dis-format my Markdown text and in the other case my Latex notation will not be compiled in the Plus Editor.

The Plus Editor is a derived editor, so LaTeX support might have to be provided upstream.
