do you have any scheduled tasks running? perhaps an identify or scan triggerd from cron or whisparr? otherwise it sounds like a filesystem issue |

Hm, no whisparr. I do have emby running in parallel, and it has the stashapp to draw metadata. I have the nfo option off, so I don't think it should write or do scans, but I'll double check all my settings. |

still happening, although at a lower frequency - went a whole week and just today randomly lost a bunch of images. it's for scenes, performers, and studio images as well. it included some of the new files added since the last time. I'm a bit at wit's end - don't think there's any scans or file system issues, doesn't seem to actually delete anything else - just the thumbnails for stash. any suggestions for troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated! |

Sorry to keep bumping this, just posting a few updates in case anyone else is dealing with the same issue. For the files affected, I have tried Clearing Image, then re-setting the image (via the scraper match), and it'll still eventually get lost. I turned off Emby (the only other software that could potentially be looking at the same files) and it still happened. I also tried Clean, Clean generated files, Optimize Database, Rename Generated Files, Migrate Blobs, Migrate Scene Screenshots. I think the last bit did help - some of the scenes that had covers disappearing no longer do, but there are some scenes that covers still disappear, as well as the Performer and Studio images. One thing I did notice is Stashapp doesn't think the images are missing - when I filter Performers by "Missing Image", it only shows the ones that were never matched as no image was ever available. For those that are blank now, but previously were matched, those are not filtered - so perhaps it's some sort of file location issue? Anyways, I'll keep digging. UItimately still very much enjoying stashapp and appreciate all the work the devs have done! |

Every few days a subset (and seemingly the same ones) of thumbnails for scence covers and for performers will disappear. Other data are all fine (metedata, phash, scrubbing thumbnails, etc). I'm not sure what the issue is, so apologies if this is the wrong way to submit an issue. It is independent of after I do a scan. I can scan and fix the images, and it'll be fine, then randomly they'll be gone the next day. I didn't see anything in the logs. Thanks.
