rv-gdt on trio WGS data

Hi

I'd like to know whether the rare variant generalized disequilibrium test (**rv-gdt**) would work fine also in datasets containing only **trios** (no nuclear/extended families). 

My understanding is that I could use the rare variant extension of the TDT (**rv-tdt**), but I would like to exploit the 'weight' option in the rv-gdt.
