Support points in area_covers_point

I'm trying to calculate how many points are inside one TROPOMI swath and find the area_covers_point operation.

However, it only supports a single point, is it possible to pass several points? or any other method to get the number of points inside the swath?

This would mean a new area_covers_points operation that takes a list of points and would exclude measurements whose area does not cover any of the given points.
That looks feasible. I will put it on the todo list.

Providing the number of points that are within the swath is a lot trickier though. We can't do this with a filter operation. It would require a separate operation that would calculate this number and store it in some variable. But such a variable would not really match any of the harmonised variable names. So I don't think that would be something that would be part of HARP.

Thanks, agree with the new area_covers_points operation.

Could you point out how did you create the area and check the point inside? I'm lost in the .c and .h files ...
Maybe I can learn from them to write my own script for completing the processing.
