Upgraded to Gradle 8.14 from 7.x and now getting "Failed to resolve"

I upgraded from Gradle 7.x to 8.14 and now I get "Failed to resolve: com.stepstone.apprating:app-rating:2.3.1" when syncing the project. No, I don't have offline mode enabled.

Any idea why?

I've tried switching back to older version of Gradle and it works fine, but I must upgrade to Gradle >8.

implementation 'com.github.stepstone-tech:android-material-app-rating:2.3.1'
