Ace support on Mac?

Every time I try to open/create a project and add the config files, ace freezes on attempting to open finder to select a folder. When I add my .ace folder from windows, ace CTDs whenever attempting to open the project and I am unable to create a project as the root folder is used. Any help appreciated!
